TRAVEL CLUBS AND NON-LANDED CLUBS ARE CALLING…

Calling you to enjoy a variety of naturist pursuits indoors this winter

Hi Travelers,

If you’ve been following my posts about nude recreation and Nakation vacations yet aren’t quite ready to commit to becoming a member of an American Association for Nude Recreation (AANR) affiliated resort/club/campground, you just might want to give it a trial this winter by participating in an indoor event sponsored by a “non-landed” or “travel” club.

The AANR serves nature-loving individuals at over 180 affiliated clubs, resorts, RV campgrounds and businesses. However, you may not know that only half of these facilities are “landed” clubs which have their own grounds, accommodations and amenities. Others, “non-landed” clubs also called “travel clubs,” are comprised of groups of people who plan trips to clubs with facilities but also hold myriad social events to enjoy social nude recreation elsewhere.

For many years, clubs that did not have a piece of land where their members meet up were called “non-landed.” Today nudists more often just say “travel club” to show they travel to meet up with other naturists at various locations. So, what does a  member or guest at a travel/non-landed club do?

The activities of a travel club are very much dictated by their members’ interests who act as hosts for events. A host can also supply the location for which members gather to swim in the pool, relax in the hot tub, enjoy karaoke nights, potluck dinners, play board games, watch movies or in some cases do some learning. One demonstration on beer making years ago actually led a member to start his own beer making enterprise. There’s also been a Black and White film demo where members shot film, processed and printed pictures. Add to that, cooking demonstrations, sewing groups, yoga and meditation classes, poker nights, camping and hiking excursions, and holiday parties, and you get a good idea of the varied activities you can enjoy with a group of like-minded naturists.

Travel clubs will also gather a group together and head out to visit a nearby nudist club or nude beach, rent out a facility such as a bowling alley, theatre or escape room. Some will even charter deep sea fishing boats or book international travel such as aboard the annual Nude Cruise. You can read more on nude cruising in a previous post at: https://www.thetraveler.org/in-the-buff-cruises-provide-more-nude-vacation-nakation-options/

So, if you want to find a travel club near you and find out what’s scheduled on their calendar of events this winter visit: https://www.aanr.com/club-locator/.

If you’ve already established an informal group that qualifies as a non-landed/travel club, you can list it and your upcoming events on the AANR website at: https://www.aanr.com/add-your-non-landed-nudist-club/
