Texas and California Nudist Resorts to Visit this Year

Where to get comfortable in your own skin

The 7-circuit meditation labyrinth at Star Ranch
The 7-circuit meditation labyrinth at Star Ranch for relaxation and introspection

Hi Travelers,

I have two more family-friendly nudist resorts to spotlight for you this week.  One in Texas, the other in California.

Billing itself as “the friendliest little family nudist club in Texas,” Star Ranch lives up to its well-earned reputation for big, Texas hospitality.

Amenities include a fabulous outdoor swimming pool, plus indoor spa and pool, seasonal full-service weekend café, tennis, pétanque, washer, shuffleboard and pickleball courts, children’s playground, horseshoe pits, 7-circuit meditation labyrinth, nature tails, and la full calendar of summer events.

For accommodations, there are camping facilities, rental cabins and guestrooms. There’s even a helipad for those who want to chopper in!

As with all resorts/clubs/RV parks and campgrounds affiliated with the American Association for Nude Recreation, there are policies and procedures to follow, and first-time visitors must contact the Star Ranch office in advance to complete a registration/background check. This is standard to ensure a safe environment for all guests to enjoy social activities in a clothing optional environment.

To learn more about Star Ranch you can visit starranch.net or phone (512) 273-2257.  Star Ranch, 166 Eely Road, McDade, TX 78650, is just off US Highway 290, 35 miles east from Austin and 125 miles west from Houston.

DeAnza Springs Resort, about an hour east of San Diego, is the perfect place to relax, adventure and experience the picturesque natural beauty of the California desert in comfort. Guests can bring their RV, pitch a tent of stay in one of the “tiny homes,” travel trailers, or cozy motel accommodations.  There’s also a Bar/Café & Lounge, free WiFi, laundry facilities, outdoor grills, electric hookups, and a pet park.

For recreation you can discover miles of hiking trails, featuring breathtaking rock formations, and offering mesmerizing sunsets over the high desert landscape. Recreational facilities include swimming pools, jacuzzi, sauna, fitness center, tennis courts, and hiking trails. Activities and events abound such as yoga, karaoke, dancing, water volleyball, pickleball, tennis matches, pool tournaments, water aerobics, darts and more.

You can even take a soak in the mineral-rich thermal waters of Jacumba Hot Spring. And there’s a “nomadic communal space,” a vibrant hub where like-minded individuals gather to share experiences, stories and adventures.  DeAnza Springs, it’s like a never-ending summer camp where the fun never stops!
