Rest well on your next trip

Don't Pack the PJs

Hi Travelers,

What’s the best sleepwear?  Whatever you’re most comfortable in.  On the other hand, you may discover that you're too warm while under the covers. In that case, your best sleepwear may be no sleepwear at all, so pronounces the American Association for Nude Recreation (AANR.com).

According to Medical Daily: “Optimal temperature for restorative sleep is between 60 and 68 degrees Fahrenheit...when the sleeping environment has a temperature that fits this parameter, it helps the body’s core temperature to drop in preparation for sleep.

If we’re too hot, this will prevent the body’s core temperature to reach the optimal parameters, which can lead to restlessness, and even insomnia. Sleeping naked will prevent the body from overheating, and will therefore lead to a better night’s sleep.”

Also, know that the term “beauty rest” is not just a myth. Maintaining a room temperature that is no higher than 70 degrees while we sleep allows the anti-aging hormones to function properly.

A sleep environment that's too warm does not allow the body to naturally cool itself and disrupts the release of these hormones. Sleeping in complete darkness stimulates the release of melatonin, which cools the body, and then the growth hormone is released.

Hormones will work better at lower temperatures and will allow the body to regenerate resulting in better hair and skin.” Who knew, ha!

As AANR maintains, when the clothes are shed, so too are the stresses of every day life. And, there are added health benefits…  It is known that sunlight counteracts the Winter Blues. (Studies have discerned your body needs at least 20 minutes a day of sunshine over at least 75% of your body to help prevent a vitamin D deficiency – of which one notable side effect is depression.)

Therefore, it follows that those who routinely combine the benefits of a daily – or nightly – nude break to rebalance oneself, with the need for sunlight on the skin, are on a steady course for healthy living.

So, with all this good news about sleeping in the nude, save yourself the luggage space when packing for your next trip.

Leave your pj's at home! And if you're traveling to a club/resort/campground affiliated with the American Association for Nude Recreation (aanr.com), you'll have even less to pack. Bring two towels to sit or lounge on, sun block, shoes, toiletries, a cover up for chilly nights, hat, sunglasses and a smile. Happy travels!
